Ginisang Upo with Misua

Misua is made from wheat flour. It is very thin wheat vermicelli that is why, cooking misua usaully takes less than two minutes in boiling water. Is also good to add it with some vegetables. This tasty dish is a budget dish. It will not cost you a lot. Very simple but hearty from the upo.

Ingredients

  • 1 pc medium sized upo, peeled and cut into small portion
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 packs misua
  • 1 pc medium tomato, sliced
  • 1 pc medium onion, sliced
  • 100 g minced pork
  • 1/2 tsp chicken powder
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper

Instructions

  • In a pan, heat cooking oil. Saute garlic, onion, and tomato. Add minced pork, pinch of salt and pepper. Stir-fry until pork turns to brown.
  • Add 4 cups of water and tsp of chicken powder. Cover and let it boil.
  • Add upo, simmer for 3 minutes. Follow misua and boil for another 2 minutes or less, taste and season with salt and pepper if it is necessary.
  • Best serve while its hot!

Notes

Tips

  • Do not overcook misua and vegetables
  • Make sure enough broth for misua.
  • With or without rice can do. It is your choice!
  • Select young upo.
  • With or without meat also can do.
