Stir-Fry Boccoli with Minced Pork

These kinds of vegetables can be eaten either raw or cooked. It is very beneficial to our health if we will partake in it in our meals. It is rich in vitamins C and K. It is also good either stir-fry, salad, steaming, boiling, and even in the microwave.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch  brocolli
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 100 g minced pork
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 1 pinch Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Trim the florets off the broccoli and cut them into 1 1/2 to 2-inch pieces. Peel the stalks of the broccoli and remove the tough outer skin, slice in diagonal. Wash the broccoli properly.
  • Boil 2 cups of water, and add a pinch of salt. Blanch broccoli for 2 minutes. Drain.
  • In a pan, heat cooking oil. Saute garlic until golden brown but not burn. Add minced pork, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and keep stirring. Add blanched broccoli, oyster sauce, and sugar. Mix thoroughly. Season to taste.

Notes

Cooking Tips:

    1. This vegetable is dense, blanching is the perfect way to jump-start the cooking process which takes a while to cook especially in a stir-fry.
    2. Soak broccoli florets in salt water.
    3. Do not overcook or else it will turn soggy.
