Garlic Fried Rice

Fried rice is commonly served during breakfast every Filipino especially has a leftover rice from the previous days. Most Filipinos cannot live without rice in their daily meal. Basically, rice is life! Even snacks cooked in rice like suman, biko, sapin-sapin, bibingka, moron, and many more.

This recipe is effortless. Just get a pan and fry the rice. Some will add vegetables, some will cook it with beaten eggs, some will add meat and seafood and some will keep it simple, just adding garlic.

Ingredients:

  • Leftover rice
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 2 tbsps fried garlic
  • Pinch of salt
  • Spring onion
  • Cooking oil

Procedures:

1.) In a frying pan, heat oil. Saute garlic until fragrance comes out.

2.) Adjust heat to slow-medium. Add rice and stir-fry. Season with salt. Garnish with spring onion and fried garlic.

Tips:

1.) Use a fork, spatula, or your hands to separate rice before putting in the pan in order to avoid sticking. Add a small portion of water if it is needed.

2.) Make sure to pan is hot enough before adding the rice to avoid sticking.

3.) You can also add leftover meat.

4.) Best with added some vegetables.

5.) Either white rice, red rice, brown rice, or a combination will do.
